Renters Insurance

Our community requires tenant liability coverage, which can be met by adding it to your lease, providing your own coverage, or by signing up with our partner, Homebody Insurance, at the link below.

Flexible Payments

Flex is a better way to pay rent. For a small monthly fee, Flex covers your monthly rent on the first, and you pay it back at your own pace throughout the month.

What is individual leasing?

Individual Leasing, also called “by the bedroom leasing”, means that you are only responsible for your bedroom, bathroom, and shared common area. If another roommate decides to skip, sublet/lease-takeover, or damage the apartment in any way they are liable for the rent and damages in their individual space, unlike in joint leases.

Do I need renter’s insurance?

Yes, we require tenant liability coverage during the lease term, with $100,000 minimum coverage. Here are three approved ways to meet this requirement:
1. Opt-in to include this coverage as part of your monthly rent
2. Sign up with our partner, Homebody Insurance, for a policy that also includes coverage of your personal belongings
3. Provide your own 3rd-party insurance policy

Do you offer roommate matching?

We offer a comprehensive roommate matching form that our dedicated staff thoroughly evaluates to find the most compatible roommates.

What’s the resident portal?

All of our residents and their guarantors have access to their property’s online resident portal, helping you and them keep up to date with their life here in Raleigh! You or your student can pay rent online via checking or savings account, set up automatic monthly payments, and submit maintenance requests, all with just a few clicks of your mouse!

Do the apartments come furnished?

1820 at Centennial apartments are fully-furnished. Check with our leasing staff for more details!

Can I bring my pet with me?

In most cases, yes! The majority of our communities are pet-friendly. Please check with our leasing staff for details. Please keep in mind that pet fees, pet rent and weight & breed restrictions may apply.

Do I need to be a student to live here?

No! As long as you meet our qualifying criteria you do not need to be a student to live here!

The Preiss Company takes great pride in its communities. Each of our properties’ staff are available for your student 24/7/365 and are just a phone call away. Our company specializes in student housing and trains our staff how to effectively and properly deal with any situation that may arise. Our local property managers are supported by leasing, business, and maintenance personnel along with our professionally trained student staff. Many of our offices and staff are on-site and we have expert maintenance ready to assist your student with anything that may arise.

What’s included in the rate?
